Swancon is WA's premier literary speculative fiction convention and I'll be a part of the "Does Art Make the Game" panel in the South Ballroom, from 8-9pm on Thursday, March 24th! Other (far more amazing) presenters on the panel are Michael O'Brien (Chaosium Inc.), Ian O'Toole (Illustrator and Graphic Designer) and Michael Cogan. Having never been a panelist before, this will certainly be an interesting experience. You can check out the program here.

Following on from that, I'll be playtesting Blocaganda and maybe something else on Saturday (26th) and Sunday (27th) from 3-5pm in the Goldsworthy Room. So, if you're coming along to the con, I'd love to meet you at any of these events!

This is a post for anyone out there with a big game library. The bigger the better. (But size isn't everything. You can play with a smaller game library as well.) You have all these games and sometimes it's really hard to choose one to play. Well, why not play a game which uses all of your games?

Picture courtesy of Ruddy Vikings. I love the cartoonish artwork of this game.
I love this small box card game created by Rounded Squarish. It was successfully Kickstarted and I couldn't wait to play it! It looked like a light game that was easy to pick up. Enough so, I took it with me on my travels. Only there was a problem. The rules sucked.

Back from my travels and I've tried to be really productive! The very first roleplaying game system that I started working on, all the way back in 2013,... is now a thing!

Well, a draft thing and you can check it out here! I'm currently in the process of getting it edited and I'm working on a story, so you can actually try it out. It is based off the improvised roleplaying system that the Terrible Warriors used for their Terminator: Defiance podcasts.

I'll put up more information as it happens. You can keep up to date by following me across any of the social media below, or by signing up for the newsletter, at the bottom of this page!

I haven't been posting recently and that's mostly been because of uni mid-sems, assignments and everything else that happens at the end of a degree. All I've got is four more weeks and two more exams until I'm done! Yay!

In the meantime, I will be showcasing Bloc at the next Playup Perth, on October 10th, so come along to that! As a sweetener, you'll even have the chance to meet Scott Ludlam, who'll be there to see what the game development scene in Perth can offer!

After that, Perth Games Festival is on November 28th and I hope to show off some more stuff I've been working on there as well. Finally, I've got some pretty cool ideas for December and January that will be worth the wait.

In the meantime, come along to Playup Perth and Perth Games Festival and support your local game development community! See you on the other side!
